1/48 Ukrainian DFW C.V early variant
Aviatik: Hi Friends! Here is some photos of my DFW C.V in ukrainian "uniform" (Ukrainian Galician Army Aviation Corps), 1919. This is a full resin kit with photoetched details. Produced by Karaya (in my opinion the best Polish resin model manufacturer). Боб: А чего тут удивляться их наклепали почти шесть или пять тыяч (точно не помню), это был самый массовый двухместный аппарат у германцев. Меня вот больше интересует, что это за добавка красного цвета в опознавательных знаках?
Igor: Ну, согласно P.Grosz четыре без малого тысячи всех модификаций, а ранних с боковыми радиаторами около тысячи. Я у себя красного не вижу. Верх киля коричневый.

Aviatik: Hi! Thanks for Your comments:) This early models of DFW was in Polish Aviation till 1922 too. The colours are (according to manufacturer - Italian MisterKit label) - Albatros Red brown, Albatros Pale green, Albatros Green and Albatros Pale Blue. In my opinion these are a very accurate shades, but in the WW1 Camouflages we can only speculate. By the way - MisterKit offering a Russian/early Soviet colors too ;). http://www.karaya.ceti.pl/eng/mk_colors.html cheers Avi
Wladyslaw: Very good model, thanks! However I want to pay your attention that in figure cook of screw is painted in brown colour, but not in green. Also I join to the remark of the participant... He writes, that your plane looks absolutely new, though actually flied from field air stations and hardly was such pure. Though impressions from model it does not spoil. There is other variant of reconstruction of this airplane in a two-color (violet-green) camouflage. As see, inscription " For Freedom of Ukraine! " on a side is executed a bit differently.
